This Privacy Policy describes how Streamers Nest ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use our website and services (collectively, the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to the practices described here.

1. Information We Collect

Information you provide

  • Account information: email address and password when you sign up.
  • Family information: family name, child display names, and avatar selections you enter during onboarding.
  • Creator approvals: the names and identifiers of creators you choose to approve for your children.
  • Payment information: billing details collected and processed by Stripe. We do not store full card numbers.

Information collected automatically

  • Usage data: which creators children view, session durations, and feature interactions — used to provide viewing summaries to parents.
  • Log data: IP addresses, browser type, and pages visited, collected automatically by our hosting infrastructure.
  • Cookies & local storage: session tokens and preferences necessary to operate the Service.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Create and manage your account and child profiles;
  • Display parent-approved creators to children;
  • Provide viewing activity summaries to parents;
  • Process payments and manage subscriptions through Stripe;
  • Send transactional emails (account confirmation, billing receipts, password resets);
  • Improve the Service and diagnose technical issues;
  • Comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not use children's usage data for advertising or behavioral profiling.

3. Children's Privacy

Streamers Nest accounts are created and controlled by parents. Children do not register directly or provide personal information to us — all child profiles are set up by a parent. We collect limited information about child profiles (display name, avatar, viewing activity) solely to provide the Service to the parent.

If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a child without parental consent, please contact us at privacy@streamersnest.com and we will delete it promptly.

4. Information Sharing

We share your information only in these limited circumstances:

  • Service providers: Supabase (database and authentication), Stripe (payment processing), and Vercel (hosting). These providers process data on our behalf under confidentiality obligations.
  • Legal compliance: when required by law, court order, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Streamers Nest, our users, or the public.
  • Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, with appropriate confidentiality protections.

5. Data Retention

We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. Viewing session data is retained to provide activity summaries to parents. You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us at privacy@streamersnest.com.

6. Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords, and role-based access controls. No system is completely secure; we encourage you to use a strong, unique password and to keep your login credentials confidential.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict the processing of your personal information. To exercise these rights, contact us at privacy@streamersnest.com. We will respond within a reasonable time, and no later than required by applicable law.

8. Third-Party Services

The Service integrates with third-party platforms (such as Twitch and YouTube) to display creator information you select. When your child views content through these platforms, those platforms' own privacy policies apply. We encourage you to review them.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or by a prominent notice in the Service before the change takes effect. Your continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
